Re-watching an episode of one of my favorite shows, Shameless, on Showtime, I was surprised to see they used an example of virtual reality with one of their main characters. Sheila, a character who has a fear of the outdoors, uses virtual reality to simulate experiences in public so that she can prepare herself for eventually leaving her home. The episode was aired in 2011, and I had not remembered the VR reference, so thought it would be interesting and fun to post.
