Season 5 of Shark Tank, a show in which entrepreneurs bring their inventions to a group of wealthy investors, featured one of the most interesting products in the shows history. The Virtuix Omni is a treadmill like simulator for virtual reality games and other applications currently in development by Virtuix. It uses a platform to simulate the motion of walking, requiring special shoes that reduce friction.
At the time the show aired, no “Sharks” were interested in the opportunity to invest, however at a later date, billionaire Mark Cuban flipped from his previous rejection to join the team, investing $3 Million dollars in the technology.
